Terms and Conditions
The rules for using BioLink.page, including accounts, plans and payments, the content you publish, and our responsibilities to each other.
These terms form a contract between you and Dijital Mekan Ltd. By creating an account or using BioLink.page, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. About these terms
BioLink.page is operated by Dijital Mekan Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14955219), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Dijital Mekan Ltd, and "the service" means the BioLink.page website, dashboard, bio pages, short links, QR codes, API and related features.
These terms apply together with our Privacy Notice, Data Protection Notice, Cookie Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
2. Changes to the service and these terms
We improve the service over time, and features may be added, changed or retired. We may also update these terms to reflect changes to the service, the law or our business. If a change significantly affects your rights, we will give you at least one month's notice, for example by email or a notice in your dashboard. If you continue to use the service after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel your plan and delete your account.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- The information you give us must be accurate, and you should keep it up to date.
- If you use the service for a company or another person, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for them.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your password secure, and tell us at hi@biolink.page if you think your account has been compromised.
- You may not sell, transfer or share your account with anyone else.
4. Usernames and custom domains
Choose a username and page address that do not infringe anyone else's trademark or other rights, do not impersonate a person or organization, and are not offensive or misleading. Registering names in order to resell them is not allowed. If a username causes a problem, we may ask you to change it, and if you do not, we may change or remove it.
If an account has had no sign-ins, link activity or traffic for more than six months, we may reclaim its username after trying to contact you.
You can connect a custom domain on plans that include one. You must own or control the domain and keep it registered with a registrar of your choice. BioLink.page does not sell domain names.
5. Plans, payments and renewal
- Plans: the free plan and the paid plans, with their current prices and limits, are shown on the plans page.
- Prices and taxes: prices are in US dollars and do not include VAT. Where VAT applies, based on your billing country and whether you buy as a business, it is added at checkout and shown on your invoice.
- Billing: paid plans are billed in advance, monthly, every six months or yearly, depending on the option you choose. Payments are processed by our payment providers, such as Stripe and PayPal.
- Renewal: if you choose a recurring payment, your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. If you choose a one-time payment, your plan ends at the end of the period unless you renew it.
- Free trials: where a trial is offered, it is shown on the plans page. When the trial ends, your account returns to the free plan unless you buy a paid plan.
- Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, your account may move to the free plan when the paid period ends.
- Price changes: if we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least one month before the change applies to your next billing period, so you can cancel first if you prefer.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your account. Your paid features stay active until the end of the period you have paid for, and your account then moves to the free plan.
To the extent permitted by law, payments are non-refundable. If you cancel within 72 hours of paying for a plan, you can ask for a refund by emailing hi@biolink.page, and we may grant it at our discretion.
Nothing in these terms affects any legal right you have as a consumer to cancel a contract or to receive a refund.
7. Your content
"Your content" means the text, images, links, files and other material you add to the service. You keep ownership of your content, and you are responsible for it. When you publish content, you confirm that:
- you own it or have permission to use it;
- it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights;
- it is not false, misleading or deceptive;
- it does not contain malware or code designed to harm people or devices; and
- it follows the acceptable use rules in section 8.
To run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, adapt the format of and distribute your content, only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and to show your public pages to visitors. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept in backups for a limited period or where the law requires us to keep them. We will not use your content in our own advertising without your permission.
Public pages can be seen, shared and copied by anyone. Do not publish personal information you do not want to be public, and never publish sensitive information such as identity or financial documents. If you publish someone else's personal information, make sure you are allowed to.
8. Acceptable use
You must follow the laws of England and Wales and the laws that apply where you and your visitors are. You must not use the service to publish, promote or link to:
- fraud, scams, phishing, malware or other attempts to deceive or harm people;
- illegal goods or services, including illegal gambling, drugs and weapons;
- child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualizes or endangers minors;
- sexually explicit content, pornography or sexual services;
- non-consensual intimate images;
- terrorism, violent extremism, or threats or incitement to violence;
- hate speech, harassment or bullying;
- content that promotes suicide, self-harm or eating disorders;
- content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property;
- impersonation of a person, brand or organization, or fake accounts;
- spam, or redirect chains designed to hide where a link leads.
You also must not try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the service, collect data from it by automated means without our permission, or use it in a way that harms our reputation or other users.
9. Reports, moderation and suspension
Anyone can report a page, link or QR code that breaks these terms through our contact form. We may review content, apply a sensitive content warning, restrict or remove content, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. Where appropriate, we will tell you what we did and why, but we may act without notice for serious or repeated breaches, or where the law requires it. We may report illegal content to the relevant authorities.
If we close an account for a breach of these terms, fees you have already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it. If you think we made a mistake, email hi@biolink.page and we will review the decision.
Verification badges are shown only on accounts whose identity we have confirmed.
10. Your visitors and the data you collect
You are responsible for your pages and for your relationship with the people who visit them or buy from you. If you collect personal information through your pages, for example with forms, appointment blocks or tracking pixels, you are responsible for that information and for telling your visitors how you use it. For the hosting and delivery we provide for that information, the Data Processing Addendum applies and forms part of these terms.
We provide statistics about visits to your pages and links. You may use them for your own purposes. We use aggregated information about how the service is used to operate and improve it.
11. Payments you receive
If you add a payment button or link to your page, such as PayPal, the payment is handled by that provider under its own terms, and BioLink.page is not a party to it. BioLink.page does not take a fee from these payments. You are responsible for any provider fees, refunds to your customers and taxes on what you receive.
12. Affiliate program
If you join the affiliate program, the current commission rates, cookie period, holding period and minimum payout are shown on the affiliate page and in your account. You are responsible for your own promotions and must follow the laws that apply to them, including rules on advertising disclosures, electronic marketing and data protection. We do not control and are not responsible for campaigns you run in your own name. Referrals obtained through spam or misleading claims do not qualify, and we may withhold the related commissions and suspend or end your participation.
13. Our platform and intellectual property
We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service under these terms. The service, its software, design, templates, themes and our brand belong to us or our licensors. You may use the themes, icons and other design assets we provide only on your BioLink.page pages. You must not copy, resell, reverse engineer or decompile the service, remove our proprietary notices, or use our name or logo to suggest that we endorse you, without our written permission.
14. API
If your plan includes API access, keep your API keys secret, use the API only for your own account, and respect any usage limits. We may limit or suspend API access that harms the service or breaks these terms.
15. Third-party services
The service works with third-party products, such as payment providers, embedded videos and music, and tracking pixels you choose to add. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. For example, if you embed YouTube videos, YouTube's terms of service apply. We are not responsible for third-party products or for the websites your pages link to.
16. Feedback and beta features
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you. Features marked as beta are still being tested and may be less reliable than the rest of the service.
17. Availability and disclaimers
We work to keep the service available and secure, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. Keep your own copies of important content. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". This does not affect any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.
18. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data. Our total liability to you in connection with the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100.
You are responsible for claims made by others against us that arise from your content or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
19. Ending these terms
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, your pages and content are removed as described in our Privacy Notice. We may end these terms or close the service with reasonable notice, or immediately under section 9. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on liability and disputes, remain in effect.
20. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, strikes, pandemics, power cuts or failures of internet infrastructure.
21. Governing law and disputes
If you have a concern, please contact us first at hi@biolink.page. We will try to resolve it within 30 days before either of us starts legal proceedings.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the protection of any mandatory laws of that country.
22. General
- These terms and the documents they refer to are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest remains in effect.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a company that takes over the service. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
- These terms do not create a partnership, agency or employment relationship between us.
