Account and data deletion
Delete your Bio Link Page - Link in Bio account
This page explains how to delete your account in the Bio Link Page - Link in Bio app and on BioLink.page, which data is deleted and what we keep. You can read it without signing in.
How to delete your account
- In the mobile app. Open the menu and tap Delete account. The app opens the account deletion page on our website.
- On the website. Sign in, go to Account › Delete account (biolink.page/account-delete) and enter your current password to confirm.
- Signed up with Google or Apple? Your account may not have a password yet. Choose Forgot your password? on the sign-in page and set a password for the email address of your account. Then follow step 2.
- Can't sign in? Send us a deletion request through our Contact Us page, using the email address registered to your account. We delete the account once we have confirmed that the request comes from its owner.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are removed from our active systems immediately and permanently.
- Your account details, including your name, email address and password
- Link in bio pages and all of their blocks
- Short links, QR Codes and static sites
- Files and images you uploaded
- Statistics and visitor data for your links
- Form responses and other records collected through your pages
- Projects, tracking pixels, custom domains and team settings
- Your sign-in history and API key
Deletion can't be undone and deleted content can't be restored. Any active paid subscription is canceled at the same time.
What we keep
- Invoices and payment records. If you have made payments, invoices and payment records (name, email address, billing details and amounts) are kept separately from any account for at least six years, as required by UK tax and accounting rules.
- Mailing list. If you signed up for our mailing list, your email address stays on that list after your account is deleted, until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it through our Contact Us page.
- Deletion notice. A short notice that the account was deleted, with its name and email address, is kept in our admin records.
- Backups. Short-term rolling backups kept for disaster recovery may hold deleted data for a limited period before they are overwritten. If a backup ever has to be restored, earlier deletions are applied again.
No other personal data from your account is kept. For full details, read our Privacy Notice, Data Protection notice and Data Processing Addendum.
